Maestro Gianandrea Noseda
Classical WETA is pleased to extend a warm welcome to Maestro Gianandrea Noseda as he conducts his first weeks of subscription concerts as music director of the National Symphony Orchestra. Throughout November we will present a series of Benvenuto Maestro features, highlighting his artistry through interview segments and musical performances.

Maestro Noseda brings with him an impressive discography of audio recordings and opera videos with such ensembles as Teatro Regio Torino (where he also serves as Music Director), BBC Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and Israel Philharmonic. Throughout November we will broadcast many of Maestro Noseda’s dozens of recordings, both on Classical WETA and VivaLaVoce. Audio Features

In September, Maestro Noseda visited the Classical WETA studios to speak with afternoon host Nicole Lacroix. From that extensive interview we have extracted more than a dozen features that showcase Noseda’s career, his artistry, and his passions. We have also assembled features that describe each set of concerts he conducts during November. These will air on Classical WETA throughout the month, but you can also listen to them individually online, beginning November 9th.
